Sunday Service

Before you attend Arizona Hills Community Church, you might want to know what you’ll experience every Sunday.  We are glad you have dropped by to check us out online.  It is our hope that your online experience will give you a taste of who we are and why we love this place and this community.

What to expect on Sunday morning:
Arriving at a church for the first time can be intimidating. We want to put you at ease by answering a few FAQ's regarding what to expect on Sunday mornings at Arizona Hills.
  • When and where do you meet?
  • What should I wear?
  • What will happen when I arrive?
  • What about children in worship?
  • What happens during a typical service?

When and where do you meet?
We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM.  Our worship service is currently meeting in the Performing Arts Center of Boulder Creek High School 40404 N. Gavilan Peak Parkway, Anthem, AZ.  The Performing Arts Center has a beautiful 520 seat auditorium that is both comfortable and engaging.  The Arizona Hills Offices are located across the I-17 freeway at 4111 W. Innovative Dr., Suite 108.

What should I wear?
Because of the relaxed nature of Arizona Hills Community Church and the community in which we live, people choose to wear comforable clothes--as if they were going to work, dinner or out shopping.

What will happen when I arrive?
When you arrive at the doors, you will find people welcoming you to Arizona Hills, offering you a program and any information you may need to make your experience positive. There are also people available to show you where our various children's programs are meeting. After your children are settled and any questions have been answered, you are invited to get a cup of coffee or tea, pastry, and relax at our Holy Grounds Café.  We invite you to enjoy your experience at Arizona Hills.

What about children in worship?
Children are encouraged to either participate in the age-appropriate activities or enjoy the worship experience with their family.
  • All of our children’s programs meet in the Performing Arts Center.
  • We provide safe nursery/preschool care.
  • Base Camp is our ministry for kindergarten through elementary age children. It is an outstanding time of age-appropriate activities.
  • Middle School ministry we call “SuperLife”.  We learn about loving God, caring for each other, serving the world, and leading others.
  • High School students are encouraged to attend the main worship service with their parents. The High School ministry has its own worship time with a band and teaching Sunday nights at the CRASH room (For a google map with directions to the CRASH room click here ).

What happens during a typical service?
  • First of all, the service is informal.
  • We provide positive music, occasional drama sketches, a relevant message, and an opportunity to pray for the needs of our community. Our desire is to provide engaging messages that are centered on God’s Word, with practical applications that will help us to live out the Christian life with power and significance throughout the week.
  • The service lasts a little over an hour.
  • Following the service, prior to picking up your children, you're encouraged to take a few minutes to say "hi" to others you may see.
